What is an apazine?

APA stands for "Amateur Press Association." It is a regular publication (like a magazine) made up from contributions from its members.

Each member of Apaplexy writes two pages (or more) at least every second issue. The contribution can be pictures, cartoons, articles by other people, or simply their own writings. Most of the contribution should be original material.

Contributions may be about any subject.

Every six weeks, a collation is held to put together the apazine, which is then distributed to all members. Those unable to attend collation may contribute by mail, in which case the apazine is mailed back to them.

Rules are simple. Members are expected to:

  • Contribute 'zines on a regular basis
  • Be polite
  • Keep their account paid up for incurred costs
